It was clean and the room was well appointed.

"Don't drive, arrive by train and everything can be walked from here. Vibrant city centre location so can be noisy at night. Room standards vary from the amazing to the basic so worth paying more. 4* as we got a basic room night 1 but then they moved us to amazing room! Food and staff were really 5*."
"In a really good position for getting into the city, with many bars and restaurants very close by, parking onsite is a little expensive (in my opinion) £25 per night. We found a parking spot 5 minutes walk away for £9 overnight, other than that definitely recommend this hotel."

Ideally situated close to the river which made for a very pleasant walk alongside the river into the City just 5 minutes away. Room was clean and tidy. A lovely 3 night stay. The pub down stairs is well stocked and a nice environment to be in. Jane was amazing and very generous on our arrival to take our bags in early so we could make the most of our time in York.
