"I was travelling with family for my son’s graduation. We booked 2 twin rooms and arrived late, very tired and ready to sleep, only to find we’d been allocated doubles. We were moved, but this took some time. The breakfast was poor. They can probably tell by how much food is left untouched on plates. After breakfast we booked an Uber and waited. "Nice homely atmosphere. Clean, comfortable and Breakfast freshly cooked and served in pleasant surroundings. Come and go if you please and self cater if you want to. Sarah and her Mum are most welcoming and checking in and out was faultless. A great place to stay and would do it again. Plenty of space to park."

"Hotel is a little dated but room and bathroom were very clean. Fan was provided so temperature was comfortable. Room spacious and will be great if you have dogs. Bed relatively comfortable. Minor gripe is that the shower gel was very watered down so no use really. Other than that it’s a good budget option for this location and I would definitely stay there again."

"SWIMMING POOL was the main reason I booked this hotel, for my 2 children to have a swim after a long day, it does not say on the web page that you have to pre book, it does not say on the Web Page that it is adult only after 7pm. It does not say on the web page that the SWIMMING POOM is part of a kepp fit membership, and that has members that go there 1st thing in the morning and moan about children enjoying themselves while they are trying to get their lengths in. "Didn’t love this hotel. Best thing was the staff. But the rooms are tired. The gas stoves weren’t working, so only pizzas & burgers were available and then we had a fire alarm going off at 3am. So wouldn’t go again."

"We have stayed at this accommodation several times now, as it is nearby to one of our daughters, when we visit! We thoroughly enjoy all aspects of The Lodge, apart from the shower! In my opinion, for elder people such as my wife and I, there are no supports to hold on to, and I am concerned that we might slip etc. Despite mentioning this, nothing seems to have changed! Perhaps this issue could be “flagged!” Other than that, I would thoroughly recommend The Lodge!"
