"The best way to describe the Great Western is with the two words, quaint and quirky! The house is in the middle of a massive re-vamp, but that did not impinge on my stay, which was short, but long enough to form a very positive opinion. My room was clearly re-purposed, with the en-suite bolted on, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom fittings were quite new and of a good standard. The hotel affords great views over Torbay from the main restaurants, bars and space by lifts. We did not have a seaview room so looked over the railway and neighbours gardens.
