"This property I give it 9 out of 10 only because they don’t tell you if you are flying in from Cancun international airport that it’s a task to get to this resort. This resort is 1 hour and 30 minutes from Cancun international airport.
You also have to take a ferry to the island and another taxi from the ferry.
Other than that it’s a very relaxing resort, it’s not a turn up resort and not many African Americans go here, so keep that in mind!

"We loved our stay here. Villas El Encanto is located in a quiet residential area with lots of lovely bakery and breakfast options nearby. Our accommodation was excellent. 5 of us (incl 3 teenagers) stayed in a very cool and comfortable family cabin with filtered water and a fully equipped kitchen area. We enjoyed the pool area as well as the pretty garden. Thank you so much for a lovely stay - the kids were very sad to say goodbye to the dogs :-)"
"Lovely apartment a 10 min walk from town and lots of restaurants. Apartment was clean and tastefully decorated. This is not a hotel, so maids do not come in everyday. Rooftop pool area was great, we really enjoyed our stay and was great value for money compared to a hotel. Street parking was available if you hire a car. Staff were friendly and explained everything perfectly on check in"
"The Stars of this resort is The Staff. We felt special from the moment we arrived until the day we left.
2 things we missed: the ocean breeze and the sound of the surf. Being on the mainland-facing side of the island, you don’t get the ocean breeze & having no beach area means no surf to lull me to sleep.
A couple notes: 2 options for breakfast: the buffet that’s outside and across the street & room service.

"We stayed on top floor balcony facing the water and it was beautiful. The breakfast was very good, lots of variety. Don't leave your plate unattended because it's open air area and birds will take your food. "

"This property was renovated last February and was very clean uncomfortable. The rooms were small but had everything we needed! Francesca at the front desk was amazing. She made me feel important tended to my needs and was efficient kind and really made me feel that I was a cherished guest at this gem of a hotel. "We felt at home when we were staying at the Hotel Segovia. There was one or two other individuals standing on the property. It was quiet and very comfortable. A person was always stationed at the front and that was very comforting that it was safe.
Breakfast was made to order each day. The menu was an American type breakfast - eggs (made your way), bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, OJ, Coffee.
I would highly recommend because it’s close to the Centro and fairly priced in March. "
