"This was a diamond in the ruff...that needs some TLC. I'm not really sure the back story but this is a 'no frills' stay. The rooms have n o drinking water or coffee makers, instead you get a shared kitchen with refrigerator space. At first, we thought this was a little unusual but there's a store half a block away and a coffee shop next door. The room was super clean and cozy. There is A/C and good WiFi but no TV. "Great stay and excellent location! The best ways to get around Isla Mujeres are golf cart, taxi, or walking. There’s a taxi stand right outside the hotel, with about $10 USD to the ferry and $5–$7 quick trips around the island. The southern tip of the island is about a 30-minute walk and absolutely beautiful, with a state park and beach clubs along the way. "The best thing is the staff, they were all amazing. Carlos was very fun, super attentive and helped me practice my Spanish. Dario at the front lobby was fun, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was mediocre. The first two days it was al la carte which was a bit better. The buffet was okay, they did have a station to have ano lette made fresh. We had dinner one night which was not great and overpriced. The hotel next door has a much better restaurant for the same price or cheaper."
