"The staff was kind and the place was so fun"

"I reserved another night on Expedia, but didn't tell the front desk. The guy af the front let me stay way after check out not knowing I reserved another night. When he called he was very nice, abd checked me in the same room. I will stay here everytime I'm in town. "

"Hotel has a beautiful carved maple lobby, beautiful view of the illinois river & friendlt and accomodating staff. Rooms are nice. Some of the hallways etc could use some updating. Nice and quiet with excellent complimentary coffee in the mornings. Irish pub within walking distance as well as excellent pizza at Hoops Pizza and beer. Also located next to I 74 with wasy access"

"The staff there were so kind. They were patient for us having a late check out without feeling like we were being hounded. The bed was comfortable and TV was big. Clean room also. "

"It’s an older property that has been updated with modern furnishings, fixtures and kitchen appliances. Well equipped and tidy. Easy check in and no problems during my stay."

"Plus side: The staff was very kind, quick and friendly. Down side: The hotel lobby didn’t smell good. The room they checked us into, smelled even worse. My wife walked all the way into the room, I made it 3-4 ft inside the door. Looked at her and said, “we’re not staying here”. Plus side: The staff wasn’t upset I didn’t want to stay and asked to cancel. Idk side: Waiting to see if I get refunded. "

"We were trying to stay at local property and in this case I wish we wouldn't have. The room smelled like smoke, the bed was very uncomfortable and the shower did not drain properly. Had to stand in water while taking a shower. It was not comfortable at all."
