"The hotel was nice looking and had good historical value. It’s in a good location. The cleanliness of the room was average to above average. The beds were not good. Solid hard foam mattress. Very uncomfortable. The staff was there to do a job but really did not succeed. Not too friendly. Seemed to be a younger / inexperienced staff. Upon check in really no information was given. Had to ask for the complimentary bottles of water. Breakfast was ok and was served between 7am and 9am and not complementary. The thermostat in the room wasn’t operating. The hotel regulated the temperature. Pretty warm. Front desk suggested to just open the window. I would rate our overall experience a 3."

"Parking was $30 a day weather you use the Valet service or not to park at the hotel. Covered and secure so not that bad, Staff was ok except for one of the desk workers that told partner to go smoke by the dispensary because it was monitored. He took offense to saying the homeless were aggressive when begging for smokes. Hotel had no baggage carts but they valet allowed us to use even though we did not use their service. Breakfast was good most days the potatoes were always cold but the eggs hot. Clean enough lost hot water the last night there, good location to walk the Salem area. Good food located close, heavy homeless population, Fire department close and busy hope you like sirens. Overall good location ok food would go back. Also the A/C sounded like a UFO taking off when it came on, noisy as hell."

"My daughter and I stayed at The Cabot Lodge, on 4/14/26, for an overnight stay, before a college tour at Endicott College. I originally wanted to stay at the hotel on the grounds of Endicott College, but no rooms were available. In the end, I was glad that we didn’t get a room on the college grounds. We decided on The Cabot Lodge, since it was close to the college and appeared to be located in an area that had a lot to do (walkable area). There is no parking, but municipal parking was behind the hotel and the cost to park was good (overnight parking was free). The Cabot Lodge is an adorable boutique hotel. The Staff was very friendly and helpful with information about the area, restaurants and things to do. There was no staff there, from 5pm-9am (they are accessible to call, if needed), but they provided information and supplies to get you through the night w/o needing staff assistance. The room that we stayed in was so cute (unique). My daughter stayed in the loft bed, which she said was comfortable. The room and common area was very clean and nicely decorated. There were free snacks and beverages available, which was a nice touch. The Staff gave us information about the area (restaurants, things to do), which was helpful. I am glad that we stayed at the hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone who plans to stay in the area. "

"Great bed, super comfortable. Love that it had a fully stocked kitchen. Only regret was that our room was on the basement level and the noise from People overhead was significant. But good overall. "

"This is one of our favorite places to stay anywhere in the US. Lovely inn! Each room has its own individual charm as no two rooms are alike. A bonus is the great continental breakfast! Make detours to Marblehead every time we come to Boston just so we can include a stay here."
