"This hotel is always welcoming. I like the peace of the location and the absence of the big chain feel. Staff are like family and hotel has character. This stay over Xmas was enjoyable and provided a good base for family visits. Breakfast is legendary and a great start to the day. ( I have one breakfast credit I will be back to claim 😊) Bed was comfortable and shower was good those are the big asks. It has a small bar area that is quaint. "Check in was easy and the staff were amazing during my entire stay. I stayed in a single room, the room was surprisingly spacious and well laid out and had a decent sized bathroom. Couple of things to note: Room was on the third floor, there is no elevator. Not too much of a problem as the stairs are not steep or narrow. "The hotel, pub was absolutely perfect. The staff were excellent especially Tarik excuse me if not spelt correctly. All staff were extremely attentive. Room was so cozy, a little in the warm side but we didn’t see the thermostat as slightly hidden. We ate at the pub on Friday, food, drinks all excellent. Breakfast was fresh and hot. We will definitely be back."

"My second time staying at Holiday Inn Express. My room 211 felt smaller than my first room 108. A comfortable bed so I got a good sleep. The small table to sit down at was a little dirty as was the top of the shower head. Not a major problem but if I do stay next time, I would prefer to stay on the first floor"
