"This is the best hotel in the old part of Alexandria. Right on the water. Beautiful. Easy walking to everything. Staff was excellent. Monty's bar was habit forming. Breakfast and the rest of the food was so-so."

"The Windsor Palace is a beautiful classic hotel with clean rooms, excellent service, and a great location. Unfortunately, checkout left a bad impression. I was charged 240 EGP for two bottles of water, a bag of chips that was barely a quarter full, and an expired chocolate bar from the room’s fridge. No one had told me those items would be charged separately. After an otherwise pleasant stay, this made the hotel seem unnecessarily money hungry. Clear pricing and better checks on the snacks would...

"Housekeeping wasn't done every day. On most days, we had to put out the sign saying service was required before our room was cleaned. It took a while for water, towels, and robes to be brought to the room. The breakfast was okay, although there weren't many options available.
During my stay, a fire broke out in an adjacent building and spread into the hotel. The hotel had no fire alarms, and the only way I was notified about the fire was through a friend. Some guests were in the middle of...

"We stayed at one of the apartments with ocean view and the view did not disappoint. Although the balcony was very small, just big enough for 2 small chairs, we really enjoyed watching the sunsets. The location is great, there are many restaurants and coffee places nearby and you can walk to most tourist attractions. it was however very noisy, we recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Also, the property needs some work, it is an old building and it shows. Finally, there is a small...

"I wish I could give this place minus.
Avoid if u are traveling alone or generally are a woman. Or if u are a breathing human being.
The receptionist came to my room by false pretense there was water problem at 23:00 and made advances.
I asked him to leave, he said sorry but it was too late. I was shocked and pissed.
Packed my things and left the hotel the morning after.
Contacted hotels, com to complain, and now the person says i was the one making advances. Unbelievable, i guess as a woman i...
