Big Sur Lodge
Loved having a cabin experience actually inside a state park. Beautiful trails though redwoods. Old but clean and functional. Nice balcony with forest behind. Furnace was a bit noisy for sleeping. No TV or internet but I was made aware many times this would be the case.

Carmel Valley Lodge and Resort
Staff very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. The included continental breakfast was the best we've had -- many choices, well prepared. Room spotless and comfortable. The grounds attractive and spacious.
