"Not a great check-in experience, room had pulled up carpet and broken lamp (upgraded bungalow room) and was not worth the price we paid. Restaurants and Luau on-site were overpriced and underwhelming. The only upside was the manager Gretchen that helped us to move to a different room (lower priced), but better view. We didn't get any money back, but Gretchen was very nice and helped us out."

Additionally one night adjacent room guest were up until 3:30pm but the check in staff had failed to provide phone number for texting that would enable to let staff be made aware but do so discreetly as the people were too close to not notice or hear us calling them on the phone. "If you looking a budget stay, this is perfect. We can cook, talk to other people who stay there. Everyone were friendly and the showers were not crowded. Only part is that the bedrooms have little dust on the walls. But this is a hostel and it’s expected"

The grills are super clean and easy to use and well maintained. We didn't care for their breakfast so we just ate light in the room.
