"The staff who run the property are very welcoming and happy to help. The property itself is in top class condition and trumps any hotel room. Another highlight is the breakfast, which was included in my rate, which include tea or cafetière coffee, a fruit platter, cereals and a cooked breakfast (e.g. salmon and scrambled eggs on granary bread) with many options available. I would highly recommend a stay here and will come again if I am ever back in Southend."

"Turned up to be told the manager was out and wouldn’t be back for half an hour at least, so we couldn’t check in. So had to sit and wait (we were supposed to be getting ready for a wedding). Manager treated us as though we were some sort of nuisance wanting to check in. So after nearly 45 min she arrived and asked for a £200 deposit… this wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the listing. "We had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short visit. We were surprised with an upgrade to an executive room, which was very spacious. It has a lovely view of the sea. Room has an iron & board, a fan and haie dryer. Easy parking and instructions. Good location to explore and walk to the pier.
