"A delightful pub/hotel overlooking a grassy area, perfectly situated in the pleasant small village of Witney. All of the staff were really nice and friendly. The pub was generally very busy with diners which indicates good food although we didn’t eat in. There is an outside area both front and rear to sit and a car park for guests. The room was spacious although maybe a little dated which is more than likely in keeping with the theme as it is a grade 2 listed building. A sash window which needs a little device to stop it falling down(easy to do) A large shower room/WC with a wonderful walk in shower. The shower itself I feel would benefit from either a shower mat or a rail as it is large and the base does get slippy. You need to be very careful also a shelf to put your shower gel etc. would be helpful. You need to keep bending down. The cabinet doors in the shower room were a little worn. The bed we found was uncomfortable (two beds put side by side), a little lumpy. The pillows were too soft for us. The mirror on the wall was filthy. The wardrobe mirror was good. A good tv on the wall. Tea and coffee making supplies. All in all a good stay."
