My daughter lives in St Neots again now and I needed a place to stay overnight. Having used Premier Inns generally, if the price was right, I decided to book, but was astounded to find they wanted £150 for a Tuesday night! I had noticed the extention on the Eaton Oak many times, and managed to get a room at a very reasonable price of £84...

"I stayed one night with my husband and son. The family room is set up well. My son enjoyed having space to himself in the loft. We arrived at the end of a heat wave, and while the room was stuffy initially, we slept quite comfortably, as the ceiling fan and window cross-breezes worked well to cool the room. The shower was tricky to figure out with regard to temperature control, so be sure to check the hosts for guidance. Tiggy and Pete are welcoming and very entertaining. They kept us in...

"The hotel perhaps needs a little TLC. The bed was fine, the shower worked. But....there was 1 bath towel between two people. The shower curtain was stained, and inner curtain is needed. The window blind was broken. We would not stay here again, and felt the room was overpriced for the condition. The booking form needs to be clearer with regards to dogs."

Check in late at night was a bit hap hazard, mainly due to process changes but when we really wanted to get to bed it was a bit delayed.
