We stayed at the cheaper option over the road at this property for 1 night. We arrived at the hotel around 3.30pm and our room was not ready to check into, despite having messaged the hotel the previous day to confirm our arrival. The staff were very sweet and were trying their best to gets into a room but we had to wait 45 minutes which was very tiring after a full day of international travel. We were eventually given our room. The reception at this area of the hotel is really poor looking, daggy. Need a full upgrade. /Rooms are very spacious and bathrooms are great but lighting is dark. Not bad for the price. The grounds and pool of the hotel are very beautiful . Buffet breakfast was very good, not exceptional but very good. The Manager gave us complimentary lunch for having to wait for our check in which was very nice . Check out from rooms is 12 noon, so they should have had our room ready by the time we got there at 3.30pm. Not good enough for this standard of 5 hotel. Its like this secondary , garden room area of the hotel is run with much lower Managerial presence . Anyway it was ok for one night. The food and presentation of the food at this hotel is not 5 star at all. Get better food at a local restaurants down the street. Been coming to Bali for 25 years , this hotel is not somewhere I would recommend to friends to stay unfortunately. The service is beautiful the staff are amazing however and extremely hospitable. The hotel needs a makeover and 5 star ? No sorry.
