"Clean"

"I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay."

"Beautiful bedroom very large and spacious, as was the en-suite shower room. The bed and bedding were excellent and I had a wonderful nights sleep. The water in the shower was hot and a good pressure. However the flush for the toilet was not working. I would also recommend the owners supply bedside lights as there were none and the main light switch was over by the door. A kettle and teabags/coffee were provided in the room but no milk or water. "Excellent accommodation I would highly recommend. Run by a very friendly couple. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was terrific. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again."

"Clean and quiet hotel. No aircraft noise heard at all. Polite staff. Room 668’s shower left the shower’s tray partly blocked and almost about to spill out on to the tiled floor. Nasty drain smells from the shower was the clue to the problem! Air conditioning system not very affective at all."

"I wish I’d just paid more to go to a chain hotel. This was terrible, the shower took 10 minutes to warm up by this point the bathroom was already flooded and the water was leaking into the bedroom floor. One of the great benefits was ‘FREE PARKING’ listed on their advert but I was in fact charged for parking for the few hours I was there overnight!!! Conveniently close to the airport but that’s about all that was good about this place."

"Perfect place to stay overnight before a flight from Stansted. Lots of choice for your help yourself breakfast. Wasn’t made aware that you could leave your car there and take a taxi to the airport. Would have definitely saved some money. Maybe this could be highlighted more."

"The hotel was good for £58 a night just before flying. The lady behind the desk was absolutely lovely when we checked in. The rooms were clean but they miss out on detailed cleaning but for one night, it isn’t an issue. Room was huge, we walked in and said ‘woah’! Very close to the airport, easy bus services that drop you off just outside the services. Also very close to multi different food places and they had their own separate car park from the services one."

"Room smelt of curry . 1 small towel for 3people grouting on tile’s mouldy . Bed clean and comfortable though . Lift not working properly same 7 months earlier! Not fixed"
