"Nice hotel next to the station really good for getting too Birmingham moor street, 10 minutes tops. Nice breaky. Only issue I had water ran out on my shower so I had limited water and no hot water. I had the small room 101. I think it's on a smaller water tank. "
"No problems with the travelodge but please book direct and not through hotels.com
Thanks to them I was nearly unable to check in as you need physical ID which they never told me. I’ve since made several complaints and not been acknowledged. Very poor website that I won’t use again.
For anyone staying here you must take ID if you book through an agent - but not if you book direct makes no sense I know!"
"Clean room, good facilities such as smart tv, iron & board, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities etc. Nice shower.
Lovely restaurant which also does a good breakfast. Friendly staff everywhere.
Easy & ample safe parking accessed via a long driveway."
"The staff were attentive and helpful, even helping us with our luggage when we checked in past midnight. Thank you!
However, the property is need of some TLC and maintenance. Room sizing varies greatly even in the same category of room (a group of us stayed with 3 separate bookings so we know), the phones never worked even to speak to reception (even when we called from our mobiles no one ever answered over 2 days) and the hotel is like a warren with rooms on the same floor spread out across various corridors and up and down stairs making it difficult to navigate and move luggage around.
Parking on site was helpful though £10 a night feels an excessive fee.
When checking in an unsavoury duo walked into the hotel (after midnight) armed with alcohol and a hostile attitude - they were not staying at the hotel. Staff dealt with it well but I can’t help wondering why anyone can just walk into the hotel at anytime."
