"We really enjoyed our five night stay at The Gate Hotel Kyoto. The check in staff were very efficient and friendly, especially given there was a large group checking in at the same time. At first, I thought our room was a bit basic, but it was actually very nice. We were on the seventh floor with a beautiful view of the mountains. It was so nice to wake up to this each morning. "Hotel is located in a good area, close to lots of shops and restaurants. Its on the main shopping street, which means a lot of foot traffic outside, but in the hotel you rarely heard any of the outside noise."
