"Clean lovely area "

"The cottage is in a great location to access all parts of the island. Decor and furnishing are on the basic side, but this is more than reflected in the price. The garden has lovely views - a picnic table is provided but I suggest taking your own camping chairs for more comfy, longer term seating. The cottage is on a B road with some traffic at times but the noise was not intrusive, and was non-existent overnight. "A very lovely, friendly and comfortable hotel. Staff were super friendly. Restaurant food was great. À la carte breakfast was also very good but there was no fruit offered which I was disappointed with. Times were also a little tight from breakfast, dinner, room cleaning and checkout but it was a small hotel so this is understandable. I would definitely stay here again. Thankyou."

Shortly, but not too sweetly; for reasons I would be happy to list on request, I consider that Management would benefit in reputation from closing the wing till completion, rather than continuing to exploit its present tired mediocrity."

"A good hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast buffet good. Crazy practice of charging hotel guests to park but that seems to be a growing trend. Be honest and include the charge in the hotel costs instead of hiding additional costs."

"Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef.. Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers"

"Most things okay, but as is too often the case, the secure cycle storage requested and confirmed in the booking stage didn't exist! Really not happy leaving an irreplaceable bespoke bicycle in the cleaner's room!"

"We had 3 rooms for 2 nights. The rooms were nice but a little on the smaller side for a double. All the rooms had slightly different arrangement. Two of the rooms had a shower in the bath and for some reason one of the rooms baths didn’t drain well, we informed the hotel but they were unable to sort the problem during the stay. "This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. And I have stayed in 100s. Staff could went above and beyond, the place is stunning, the rooms are spectacular and the breakfast was excellent. I wish I could stay every weekend."

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"The staff were very nice and helpful. The main areas of the hotel are pleasant and the hotel was clearly once a very grand building. The superior double room we had was a bit tired but the main problem was the heat. It was facing the afternoon sun and it had been a hot day.
