"Lovely hotel exactly what you want from a Cotswold hotel."

"Good points: Staff were friendly, accommodation was clean and tidy and food provision and bar was satisfactory. Poor points: The room was pretty sparse and lacking any warmth or character as were the rest of the facilities. We didn’t try the Spa or Golf, so can’t comment on this. gym, sauna, hot tub type facilities (which I would be happy to pay for) are pretty standard in most ‘Spa’ hotels so I felt a bit cheated. "An excellent option for a quick overnighter while travelling up or down the country. Room was clean and beds comfortable. The bar / restaurant area looked perfectly clean and tidy, although we didn't use it. It is next door to themsim sevices building with multiple eating / snack purchaing ptions too. The services also has electric fast charge points a short walk from reception. Staff that we saw were warm and friendly. "

"Mixed reviews overall, my room was generally pretty clean however, I found a hair in the bathroom that definitely wasn't mine as it was about 6 inches long onnthe tiles of the shower, the window didnt stay open without wedging something underneath it, decor was tired and the TV was no bigger than a PC monitor and looked lost on the wall and wasnt vaguely visible from the bed and everytime the fridge in the room clicked on and off it turned the TV off and on again (annoying to say the least). "Cooked breakfast was exceptional and good choice of cereal on continental, although would benefit from the addition of berries and yoghurts to the menu. Food at night was also fantastic. Great prices too."

"Easy to find, good parking, good variety for breakfast. Comfortable room and quiet. Evening menu, not a great choice of options, had the fish and chips which was good, accompanying peas were a little hard. Very supportive staff who are both caring and kind. "

"The hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Despite being next to the A34 my room was quiet. The location was actually good and only a 5 minute walk via the service station car park to the bus stop at the park and ride. "

"This historic inn was clean and not too fancy. The location is great for exploring Thame. It’s also part of the Midsomer Murders” tour which was fun. Breakfast - made to order- was excellent and plentiful. We’d stay here again. "

"Clean and tidy room, good breakfast, not crowded when we stayed (April 8). Overall very good service. However at 10:38 someone started knocking the door of my room. It was cleaning staff. They opened it despite me being in the room with 2 keys from it. I told that I’m planning to stay until 11 AM which is my check-out time. It repeated second time in 5 minutes. Another lady knocked and opened the room. They did it to other rooms on the floor as I’ve heard them doing it. I was taking shower, so...
