"Excellent service and food"

"Room was comfortable, however it had very poor ventilation in the bathroom and no opening windows. Paint peeling and mould in the bathroom. A nice hotel but lots of knobs and buttons missing from elevators and toilets. Friendly, helpful staff and nice meals at the restaurant. "

"We had to be in Oxfordshire for the funeral of a very special friend and came across the Red Lion in our search for accommodation for a couple of days. Our experience was excellent - the room was fine and very comfortable and the kitchen provided excellent menus. But the main comment is how brilliant your staff were - they made our visit so much more agreeable than it might have been."

"We stayed just the 1 night but wish we could have stayed longer. The room was clean and full of character. Had an evening meal in the restaurant which was delicious. The breakfast was also lovely with great views. In all we couldn’t fault the place and will definitely stay again when in the area."

"It was very peaceful and calm. Place was very clean and neat. Staff is very polite and will help any way they can. The hot tub was very clean, got checked every day and easy to use. The bbq was also easy to use and great added feature. The shower pressure was good and straight forward. It has great security and feels very safe. Just amazing overall. Would recomend "

"Room was lovey and clean and beds were comfortable. Food in the restaurant was nice and the staff were all friendly. Only negative is for breakfast there was 1 lady doing everything so we waited 30 mins for our food order to be taken and then the continental buffet was all running very low as she was just to busy trying to do it all "

"Super cute, like being in your own romantic little bubble in the countryside. We came to watch a friend do a parachute jump at the airfield for charity. It was the perfect place to stay for a night or two. Loved the BBQ, the view through the windows and the way the space was designed. So compact and yet everything was so considered and well designed. "

"This property is in a quiet village and the local views are stunning. My only criticism is the lack of electronic device charging ports. Many pubs are switching at least the bedside power receptacles to the ones with built in usb ports. Other than this small inconvenience it was perfect "

"The room as always was clean and amenities excellent. We also received complementary glass of fizz as a thank you for returning. Super dog friendly in the restaurant as well, good choice of food and drink reasonably proceed. The service from everyone was great and they made our dogs Mia feel very welcome. "
