"Pet friendly , lovely enclosed large garden my dog was allowed to use , breakfast served in old pub area really historic & friendly helpful owners . Stayed in hikers number 1 , very clean & modern & everything provided with view of garden , easy to find & local pubs if needed . Hope to return . "

"The whole of the hotel was presentable. The staff were friendly and professional including dining room supervisor Laura and her staff, front of house manager Osge, receptionists Steph and Bianca. The food was excellent especially Christmas Day lunch. Thank you to the Cavendish for a brilliant week."

"Given the poor reviews I'd read about this hotel I was slightly concerned, however, I had no issues at all! I stayed in Room 4 which is in the rear on the ground floor & did not see or hear anybody else. The room was very small but adequate for 1 night - it was VERY clean & appeared recently refurbished, it had a tv + a table & chair. The bathroom bathroom was small but functional & again spotless!!!! I'd stay again but would request Room 4!!!!"
