"I wanted to stay somewhere a little quirky and thought that this place would be ideal. There was a very steep lane on arrival. The hut shown in the picture is not the one we were in. We were under the impression that there was only one hut but we spotted 4 altogether. The reason I wanted the one in the photo was because it was close to the toilets as I have a stomach/digestion disorder and have to use the toilet during the night. We arrived about 4pm, unpacked the car and had a Quick Look...

"The ship is unique because of its position in mevagissey. The room was not spacious but adequate for our needs. In the bathroom was a fairly new shower which was great apart from there was no place to put your soap or shampoo. The breakfast was cooked to order and like the evening meals were excellent. The pub has been taken over by a lovely couple called Alex and Noah and along with their attentive staff I believe they will make it a great success"

"This flat is in an excellent location and is spacious and well laid out. This could be superb if the Owners upgraded a few items such as signage to identify where the unit is, motion detection lights on the very dark entrance alley, toilet roll holders (!) and change the carpets and some furniture. "Sam & Roy the hosts are most welcoming, the hotel sits atop the highest point of Mevagissy overlooking the spectacular bay, there is a room with seating arranged to take full advantage of the view. The hotel is perfectly placed to use as a base for coastal walks and famous local attractions. Breakfasts are generous and freshly prepared, simple food is available in the evening with plenty of local hostelries to pick for an evening out. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend The Mevagissy Bay Hotel if you are considering a stay in the area."
