"The room was compact but ideal for a short break. I’m never in it very long. Get there, have a shower ,get changed , go out , come back , have a shower get into a comfortable bed wake up ,same again. Go home. Very handy for the Oval cricket ground. Some nice typical London corner pubs in the area . Also very near selection of Portuguese restaurants that stay open late and are all very welcoming. Area is very much typical old school London mixed with high-rise modern which I like. Great staff...

"It was an excellent location for us to stay to go to Wimbledon. It’s a wonderful neighborhood away from tourists but still have plenty of restaurants to choose from within steps from the hotel."

"We were just there as an overnight stay. When we arrived I was a little worried because the Gateway Hotel was right on the main road going through Clapham, but you didn’t hear much road noise at all. We were there during the heat wave and was pleasantly surprised by a portable AC unit for the apt. I would definitely go there again and recommend it to others."

"The room was suitable for a one night stay, with great proximity to London Victoria. Some parts of the room were a bit worse for wear, for example the net curtains were torn. We also found some previous users rubbish down the side of the bed, which was missed during the cleaning. Also just a shame of the scaffolding right outside the window (front facing). Otherwise does the job. Staff were friendly and helpful."

We were literally having to turn sideways to move around the beds to get to the bathroom there was so little space. Not the greatest experience"
