"Lovely area - Harlow Park. The property has a beautiful well- kept garden. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere in the house was homely. Food and drink available to buy and prepare on site in the well- eqipped kitchen. Books and board games galore. "

"Check-in was fine, but the leisure facilities were a letdown. The pool was cold, the jacuzzi didn’t work, and the steam room was out of order. Lockers were unreliable and needed a £1 coin, which is odd for a card-only facility. The saunas are segregated and located in the changing rooms, which isn’t ideal for a couples stay. "Was in the area on business. Nice, clean, decent sized room and en-suite shower room. Friendly welcoming staff. Only had breakfast in the restaurant so can’t comment on evening food but my full English breakfast was lovely. Only very minor downside is the lack of on site customer parking but I used a local car park across the road which was free overnight and reasonable rates at other times. Would come back again"

"There was a kettle with green , berry & fruit tea but no actual tea or coffee .Not as advertised. The shower head was broken with water pouring out of the side. The shower head drooped over not above as it should . It was a hassle to try to screw it back on.Trying to shower while holding it. The temperature control was difficult to set. "Great for the airport , delicious breakfast included with decent coffee Beds very comfy and pillows great , have stayed at other hotels but will be staying here going forward when flying from Stansted . Slightly more expensive than others but when you factor in transfer costs & convenience it a no brainer "

"Only two reasons for not getting 5 stars; no plug sockets by the bed… why? Had to charge my phone across the room. They had USB sockets but not all devises use USB! The second reason is the shuttle is £4 each way… I think that’s too much. Apart from these things though, great hotel. It’s clean and modern.
