"15 minutes drive from the Lincoln Showground, it's a light and airy hotel, friendly staff. The bathroom tiling was unfinished and the mastic areas were roughly done. Having said that the room was clean, bed, pillows and linens were very comfortable. The breakfast was okay, basic and a little dry (bacon, beans and egg) but we didn't come down to eat until 9.30am so maybe that was why. "Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked. Plenty to choose from. Car parking very reasonable with the discount and felt very secure. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean, but sofa and carpet could do with a clean. "

"The staff were great, the rooms were lovely, and the only thing that let the place down was actually other guests who changed the controls on the toaster, to the degree that the rest of my breakfast went cold while I put my bread through 3 times, and then gave up - resulting in cold breakfast, stewed, cold tea, hard bread instead of toast - apparently it's an ongoing problem, which the staff perhaps need to monitor a bit more closely."

"The location of the hotel is perfect , literally on the doorstep of Lincoln Cathedral and the castle. Parking is opposite to the hotel - although it is a public car park and a fee charged by meter upto 24hour parking available. The hotel itself is lovely, well presented and very clean. "Breakfast was very good, good variety and hot. My wife is Lactose intolerant and wheat free. The staff were very helpful in making sure that she was given freshly cooked items. The room was clean ans Sraff very friendly. We didn't use the bar as were were attending an R.A.F. Reunion. The only disappointment was the cost of the car park."

"Expedia should be ashamed to charge for accommodation in what was a hostel for vagrants. During the period that access was unavailable to us, a neighbour told us that the Hamilton was used to house council-sent people, and we saw three such unfortunate people waiting to enter. "It is a good hotel ideally situated to see the cathedral and walk into the centre of Lincoln. Lovely staff. Lots of restaurants close by. Parking available although you have to pay even though you’re a guest! Recommended"
