The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. "We had a lovely stay. Our room was perfect for us….lovely comfy bed and a small courtyard where we had dinner delivered! We were lucky that the weather was very warm too. Our dogs were very happy and calm and safe there . I would happily recommend this room (2) for anyone travelling with dogs. Thank you Wynnstay and staff, you made our trip really comfortable."

"Liked the garden, but it needs a little C&A... Disabled car parking near to our room (No.5) was an excellent bonus. Breakfast was excellent but a bit expensive. Staff were all very courtious and helpful. Direct booking rather than via an agency is preferred. We will certainly be recomending the Lion to our friends and relations and using you again next time we are in the area. "Lovely old building, good location exceptional breakfast. Parking is a bit of a nightmare after a 10 point turn in the car park had to find parking across the road which was no problem for my little car but you might struggle with a bigger car."

"We stayed in an Executive run which was well maintained and spacious if a little dated. Bathroom had been updated but corners had been cut like an old siding on the bath. Air con worked well and the room was quiet overnight. Breakfast wasn’t great. Limited choices and the eggs were terrible both scrambled and fried, but it was only £10 each.
