"This is a conveniently located boutique hotel in North Berkeley, not far from Central Berkeley and UCB campus. I stayed here to see a show at the Greek Theatre and it worked out well, it’s a 15-20 minute walk (much easier on the way back as it is more downhill). The room was well appointed with the usual amenities (shampoo, soap, hair dryer) and a few nice touches (a toothbrush/toothpaste kit if you happened to forget yours, a stool in the shower). No parking onsite. I parked in the next door...

"Completely remodeled, attractive decor, very clean, staff went above and beyond- we told the day desk staff member we needed to leave the next morning early and get our car out of valet at 5:30 am. When I called to request the vehicle from the overnight desk person, she told me the car was already out front and waiting for us. Made a huge difference!"

"Front desk staff was extremely helpful. There was a delay in getting into the room (it was crazy busy during graduation) - but they were kind enough to store our luggage and offer us drinks and snacks until it was ready. Additionally, when we needed to find milk off hours, they were able to help us there as well. Parking was easy and convenient, rooms were neat and new, and the entire staff could not have been nicer. And a very decent breakfast. Location is a little bit funky, but...

"This was my fourth time staying at this hotel, and it was fine (and the rate was good) but the breakfast used to be great, but since the switch away from La Quinta it's become pretty forgettable, which was disappointing."

"I have stayed at this hotel about three times in the last five months. It is my go to place whenever I need to do anything in Oakland. I feel safe here. I love the staff. I love the convenience of checking in. The rooms have been clean. The staff is super friendly here. I feel it’s very affordable considering where it’s located. I have tried the restaurant which is also great. I’ve had their lunch, breakfast and dinner. My most recent day was a pleasant one and I know I’ll be back again."

"The staff member at the front counter was nice and welcoming. But where shall I begin? First of all, I was given a room with one bed instead of two. I was quickly moved to a two bed room, which I appreciated. When I went to look for the bathroom, I was shocked to find there was none in the bedroom! They have communal bathrooms and showers. I have never experienced this in my 30+ years of staying in hotels. Why it was not clear that all the rooms to not have a bathroom or shower, I do not...

"Doesn’t look like the photos. Morning staff seemed well enough but night staff didn’t quite seem to know what was going on. There appeared to be mold in our bathroom sink, bathtub caulking was placed like fingerprinting, an outlet cover by the bed was hanging off, so you can see a huge hole in the drywall around outlet box. Huge stain in the bathroom sink. Elevator and doors pretty gnarly. Overall could use improvement in cleanliness and property cleanliness and upkeep."

"Nice staff. He was able to accommodate us for early check-in. Upon arrival we request a conjoined room, he said it is available but we have to wait for 15 mins, which is reasonable for a sudden request. We waited and we were happy with the rooms that we got. They were clean and the air conditioning worked well. The only problem is the bathroom lighting, which, once it is turned off it takes a while to turn on. Parking is very good. I will come back and recommend this hotel."

"This property is a converted motel and former Sonder. The rooms are newly renovated , very clean and the staff is very kind. This is a family run business. Security gates are code controlled and the staff is available 24/7. Free parking. If you are looking for great value and a great location in north Oakland near piedmont Ave , this is the place."
