"Great small hotel- spacious rooms (for NY!), fun location, great easygoing staff "

"This hotel is in the best area, they have water bottles downstairs for guests and coffee (no coffee machine in room) We reqlly enjoyed the bar downstairs and the rooftop. Cons: the rooms are absolutely TINY!! lf you are sharing with another person you will feel them getting up out of bed. The bathroom door doesnt close tightly so be comfortable enough to use the toilet really close to your partner. "

"Where to begin. The host did not tell you how to lock the apt door upon leaving. When you called the number given, the person answering (NY based) did not know how. Upon trying a second time, the woman answering thankfully did know. The apt. smelled strongly of Mr. Clean and the smell never dissipated. "Room was nice and clean and loved having the private terrace but there was no amenities at all in the room…no mini bar, no glassware, no snacks, no robes; why was I charged a $30 amenity fee when checking in?? For the price, I expect more. Won’t be going back…I’d rather spend more money and stay at Nine Orchard a couple blocks away. "

The location is a major highlight—about a 5-minute walk to the train and an easy 15-minute walk to both SoHo and the West Village, which made getting around really convenient. The room felt spacious by New York standards, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with soft, cushy white pillows. "Good location, comfortable room, efficient and friendly staff."

"I have stayed at Henry Norman numerous times now and love this boutique style property! The staff is very friendly, accommodations are beautiful, and it is so convenient to restaurants and things to do. Also, the beds are super comfortable, which is important to me as I've had a major back surgery. I highly recommend if you are staying in Brooklyn!"

"Overall, the room was adequate, though smaller than expected, and the bed was not particularly comfortable. The lobby would benefit from more thorough cleaning, especially the windows and seating areas. I'm not sure if they just had an exterminator in, or if they regularly spray chemicals to disinfect the room or something, but I do not think it was healthy for me to be breathing in whatever was lingering in that room.
