"Breakfast service was slow as only one member of staff covering service. More staff to support would improve the situation."

"Breakfast was Luke warm / not much bread left for toast as I assumed that most items were consumed by an overnight coach tour party staying overnight with earlyish departure. One staff member on duty probably having to cover for restaurant In the room which was ok the only problem was when you empty the wash basin the waste water came up the bath plug hole"

"Great location, free parking and easy walk up to the small town centre and surrounding countryside. Staff were very helpful. Nice old property but a little dull sometimes and lacked character. Clean though. There were issues with water pressure, effecting showers etc. this was explained on arrival, so was not a surprise. Breakfast was unexciting and just ‘okay’ with overcooked scrambled eggs, dry bacon and a pot of beans that was more juice than beans. A comfortable stay despite the quibbles."

"The room was spacious, clean with lovely thick fluffy towels. Very modern bathroom with great shower. We were also upgraded to a deluxe double room which was a nice surprise. "

"I needed somewhere that was able to do late check-ins, as I had a long drive late at night to get there - this hotel appears to have round the clock reception, and it was no trouble arriving late at night (after 11pm) - hotel's own website claims 24/7 reception desk, which reassured me. Room was great except the window frame really needed replacing (old wooden frame with cracks and rots in several places, and a latch that was broken so window could not close firmly and leaked cold air from...

"Great hotel with lots of amenities, well stocked bar, and great breakfast buffet. The only downside was the room was quite compact, and we stayed 2 nights and didn’t get fresh towels etc during our stay."

"Lovely room with comfortable bed. Very friendly and professional staff. Could do with hot plates for hot breakfast and disappointing coffee but otherwise super breakfast with cold and hot buffet. Book a bed and breakfast room if you will require breakfast. Restaurant food prices expensive. "

"Excellent room with very good mattress, very good shower, and very good heating. Had nice seating outside for the warmer weather. We had a bad experience with one of the waiters in the restaurant where it took 25 minutes to get our order taken after sitting down and 55 minutes before finally getting the food. Being a small village there was not really an option to go elsewhere. We normally stay in Henley where there are lots of good restaurants "
