"We had a wonderful stay at the H10 Villa de la Reina Boutique Hotel. The hotel is at a great location in central Madrid with quick access to anything we needed, like restaurants or transportation. The lobby, restaurant, bar, and our room were all attractive, comfortable, and clean. The hotel is on the busy Gran Via, but we found the inside of the hotel to be a warm and calming contrast to the bustle outside. A nice place to relax. "Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The food was not good, and the Caesar salad was inedible. The TV in our room did not work, and despite the front desk staff’s efforts, they were unable to fix it. "It’s a beautiful hotel in the heart of chueca. Quick walk to all areas of interest. The staff is lovely. The breakfast is lovely. I got to the hotel very early in the morning and they allowed me an early check in. Considering I was up all night on a flight that meant the world to me. My only critique is that our original room was extremely small and had no windows to outside. We ended up paying more than a $100 per night to get a bigger room with a balcony with a street view. "The property is at the heart of where you want to be to walk to nearby attractions, restaurants, public transit, etc. The room itself was tight but provided adequate space for two people. Walls are a bit thin so you can hear well outside your door but overall I felt very comfortable in the room. Staff was very helpful in setting us up with our code to the building and room.
