"The room had great AC. Front desk person very nice although check in process was prolonged. We arrived rather late around 10 pm and front desk said they had to check if the room was clean which seemed odd. The carpets were stained inside the room and out which was unappealing."

"This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. The hotel has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. There is ample seating outside which is great on a summers day,The grounds are kept beautifully. The hotel is an old building, unfortunately no air conditioning in the bedrooms due to the age of the hotel, but fans were provided, as we visited on the hottest day of the year. "Clean hotel with large room, which even had a small balcony. Staff were friendly and informative on check in but checking out was less friendly and more of a process. Tea and coffee available in room with biscuits, a Nespresso or similar would have been a better option as now offered at most hotels. Good size desk for working on, with plenty of sockets in the room but no USB points, wifi had very good signal and easy to connect to, small table and chairs in the room as well as place to store...

"On a positive note, our room was quiet - despite our proximity to a runway. The bed was barely adequate. Very small. We were irritated by guest room dishes in the hall. Especially as housekeeping was working in nearby rooms. They never cleaned them up. They were there the next morning. Bad form IMO. The lounge was closed without explanation. So no World Cup game. It seemed like the hotel was on life support."

"Really nice old country style building, nice bar, gardens, close to the train town centre. Didn't eat but smelt good. Room comfortable and clean as new. Will definitely use again."

There are two public buses that go from a stop at the edge of the property to Heathrow Central Bus Sation (CBS) two stops away every 10-15 minutes. Just tap a card and go. Don’t waste your money on a taxi or special shuttle"

"Just very annoyed. Room was not as good as last time in same category. No lift this time. Air-conditioning was not working even after complaining, no free drink offer despite Expedia vip. Really really upset and annoyed."
