"I had booked a twin room for my return journey. The room had an adjoining door. I called reception straight away, only to be told that the hotel was fully booked. I asked to speak to the manager. At reception, we were told that rooms without adjoining doors are allocated to the first guests who arrive, and that we hadn't said we didn't want an adjoining room. "Honestly this place was great for a one night layover before heading home from Gatwick. We stayed in a family room which has a queen plus two singles. Beds were super comfortable, plenty of dining choices at the hotel, and you can’t beat the convenience of it. Would recommend and stay again. Only gripe is that the coffee situation in the room is instant."

"Overall stay was okay, venue in itself was clean and well maintained. However there was no restaurant open due to a conference being held, only the bar was open with a limited menu. Food took over an hour to arrive and staff had to be reminded several times. On arrival food was cold and at that point not enjoyable for the overly expensive price."

"I liked the location near the motorway - it's a busy golf and leisure club. Car park was full. Very quiet location, rooms spacious but there's no air conditioning. Nice bar where you can get a drink or a snack. Breakfast was nice - service not quite on point"

"Well what a suprise this was! Years ago the White Horse had a bad reputation and was considered a bit of a dive. No longer though. The current owners have turned this into a very clean, well presented and comfortable stay. The staff were efficient, friendly and courteous. The bar and dining area were clean, tidy, regularly bussed the tables. The breakfast was ample and very well presented and the same can be said for the eveing meal. "Hotel was in a great location. Free parking on site. Good breakfast choices included in room rate. Other guests could be noisy a times and some of the outside tables were situated close to the ground floor bedrooms."

"Hotel claimed not to have been paid by Expedia, billed me a second time on check-in. So I ended up paying twice. Now Expedia and the hotel are blaming each other, neither is being helpful processing my £200.70 refund. Frankly both organizations have absolutely abysmal customer service, really don't care about their customers. The hotel manager was pretty rude and offensive too. 0/5"

"We’re so glad we decided to stay here instead of some chain hotel! It had so much character & charm. Our room was large & very comfortable. The bathroom was also large & beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. The grounds could use a little TLC (my husband was a landscaper 😉) but they were beautiful nonetheless. There was a wonderful Pub within walking distance where the food & atmosphere was wonderful! Perfect ending to our European vacation. Thank you 😊"
