"This place is a little dated and in dire need of some TLC. A little time or money spent on the grounds could make this place amazing again, starting with the outsides. It is cheap enough to stay and the rooms although a little dated have great flooring all around including the bathrooms. The staff we interacted with were all friendly but they were a little off putting everytime we went past the reception there would be staff hanging around outside which made you feel uncomfortable, it was sunny...

"Lovely, interesting old building in a very good location. Given the age of the hotel there are the inevitable uneven floors and slightly steep stairs. The free parking at the rear of the hotel is a real bonus. Our room was comfortable, well equipped and pleasantly decorated. The breakfasts were consistently good but sadly the hotel does not provide evening meals. All the staff were cheerful and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again."

"Lovely well run pub down on the quay side. Picturesque setting with sail boats moored on waters edge. Short walk from promenade park. The Manager & his staff were very helpful and polite. Rooms were clean with all amenities we required. Bar was well stocked run well. Food was wonderful with good service. Would recommend."

"The rooms are clean but lack basics. No water in the rooms. You cannot get food after 10pm. The jacuzzi is designed to kill you. There is so much chlorine it feels like a gas chamber. Its awful. Its supposed to be relaxing but you leave crying. The sauna and steam rooms are great. The swimming is good and perfect temperature. I asked one of the staff to reduce the amount of chlorine but she just said its not my job. She looked like the cleaner. The lady at the spa Danielle was just great. She...

"Everything was lovely and the front staff so very helpful. The only thing I would say about was the sound on the TV it was very muffled all the time no matter what we put it up to.
