"It was excellent, and I am told by Japanese friends that this was the best APA hotel they have seen. Three problems: 1) The windows didn't open 2) The A/C on the room only made it cooler, not hotter. There was a dial to adjust the temperature, but the man at the front desk told me that did not work. You could only make it cooler. This seemed very strange. But he kindly gave me a plug-in heater for my room. 3) The ELEVATORS ARE A MESS. It takes a long, long time for the to come and then sometimes they are so full you can't get in. 4) The hotel needs to make it clear to guests that there are TWO Ryogoku stations, one for the Metro and one for JR trains. My first night, the man at the desk did not ask my which one I wanted, and he sent me to the wrong one. "

"Check in was difficult. It took a long time to find our reservation. The room was described accurately, but we would reserve a different room in the future. A full size bed is sufficient for me and my husband to sleep in, but the room was too small for two people and two suitcases. That said, the room was perfectly clean, great amenities, bathroom was fine."

"This was such a lovely hotel. The first place we stayed on arriving in Japan and it left a lasting, very happy, impression. They gave us a beautiful room with a view of the sky tree tower to celebrate a special occasion, and were extremely helpful when I temporarily misplaced our passports and lost my glasses! "Luggage storage is a big problem, they only accommodate luggage storage on check out date, if you make side trip to other area near Tokyo but didn’t want to tag along all luggage, you have to arrange yourself and they don’t offer any help. It took me off guard as I expected I can store my big luggage at hotel while I make a two days short trip to Mt. Fuji. I ended up need to take all my luggage with me since the storage place near hotel won’t be open for service until 9:30 which is quite impossible to use if you take an early bus or train."
