Top Yamanashi Prefecture Hotel Reviews

Konansou
10/10 Excellent
"I had a great experience, after Tokyo to revitalize and ready for the next city on my adventure. In the Summertime of the two night stay, my second night provided good views of Mt Fuji and Lake from the hotel rooftop viewing area. The Spa facilities were great, and my massage was awesome. The Onsen dinner was good, and breakfast had many choices, and was good quality overall. I could recommend Konansou to friends."

Wakakusa no Yado Maruei Ryokan

Fujisan Onsen Hotel Kaneyamaen
10/10 Excellent
"Here's the rundown of this hotel: 1. Free shuttle to/from Mt. Fuji Station & Kawaguchiko Station via hotel shuttle. Just call the hotel upon arrival at the station. 2. Strict check-in time. 3. Tea/snack and breakfast coupons will be given to you upon check-in. You can use the tea coupon in a building in their garden. 4. The wine lounge is a must-try if you get access to it. 5. Dinner food is delicious. It was the highlight of our stay, since we only stayed for one night to recover halfway through our Japan trip. 6. There is an outdoor swimming pool next to the garden and a foot bath area in the garden. 7. Request a bus shuttle to Mishima Station if you are heading to Kyoto or Osaka after your stay. It's an hour-long trip that leaves at 10:15 after you check out. The cost is 4,000 yen per person."

HOSHINOYA Fuji
10/10 Excellent
"Very relaxing, best view of mountains Fuji, if cloudy 6am is best time to see, which you can from you room with floor to ceiling window facing directly to mountain."

HAOSTAY KAWAGUCHIKO ART MUSEUM.
8/10 Good
"The staff was very kind but only somewhat helpful. The room above ours had kids running around until 11 PM at night. Staff at 9:45 they would have them quiet down but didn’t, and when I checked back in around 10:45 no one was at the desk or could be reached by the phone provided at the desk. Beyond this, the breakfast that’s included is really a bread roll and coffee from an automatic coffee machine. There are plenty of convenience stores nearby to pick something up, but thought the limited scope of breakfast offered should be highlighted a bit more. They do have a communal microwave to heat things up, and synced properly washer, dishes, which was really. They advertise having a laundry room, but full disclosure, their washer dryer costs ¥2000 per 6kg load, which seemed expensive relative to the prior properties we stayed at in Japan, but perhaps that’s normal for the Mount Fuji area? We ended up not trying it because we didn’t have 20 ¥100 coins, so I can’t speak to how well it works."

Highland Resort Hotel & Spa

La Vista Fuji Kawaguchiko

"We stayed here after hiking Mt.Fuji. Best decision ever. They have private spa rooms of different styles to soak in. Very deserving after a long hike. Hotel is also very clean and offers lots of snacks and other benefits"

Toyoko Inn Fuji Kawaguchiko Ohashi
10/10 Excellent
"Really great and easy to get to. I really appreciated having the free hotel shuttle from one Toyoko-inn to the other in the surrounding area. This made the transition within my budget and super easy. Staff was very kind and spoke English. The facilities was very big and super clean. My room was perfect for a solo traveller. Thank you."
