Kannai
Discover Kannai, where Japan's East-meets-West history unfolds through colonial architecture and bustling Chinatown streets. Red Brick Warehouse and Yokohama Archives showcase the neighborhood's heritage as Japan's gateway to foreign trade. The historic port district blends seamlessly with modern office towers. Over 500 shops and restaurants offer traditional herbs, teas, and regional cuisines that create a feast for the senses. Ornate temples like Kanteibyo and Ma Zhu Miao showcase intricate carvings and fill the air with incense. This vibrant district dates back to the 1860s when Japan opened to foreign trade. Vermillion pillars and red lanterns create a festive atmosphere throughout the pedestrian-friendly area. Visitors can easily explore the area from nearby Motomachi-Chukagai Station before strolling to Yokohama Harbor's scenic waterfront views.

Yamatecho
Yamatecho offers a peaceful escape from Yokohama's bustling centre, inviting travellers to experience authentic Japanese daily life. Narrow streets wind between traditional wooden homes and modern apartments, revealing small local shrines and tidy gardens. The residential atmosphere provides a genuine glimpse into local culture away from tourist crowds. Budget-conscious visitors will appreciate the neighborhood's affordable dining and accommodation options. Small family-run ramen shops and traditional teishoku restaurants serve delicious meals at reasonable prices. Travellers can easily access central Yokohama and Tokyo via nearby rail connections, making Yamatecho an ideal base for exploring the region.

SOTETSU HOTELS THE SPLAISIR YOKOHAMA
"This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. Everything is perfect. This hotel is so accessible from Haneda airport, only 30 mins on the train. Lots of restaurants and shopping around the station/hotel. It’s a perfect base for even Tokyo. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and got all the toiletries you ll need, even pajamas! We would definitely come back again and again."
New Otani Inn Yokohama Premium
"Convenient location, steps away from subway station, with supermarket and restaurants right downstairs. Amazing view, spacious rooms. Slightly dated but clean and very well-kept. The main entrance is hard to spot, the sign inside the shopping center is hidden, the elevator to the lobby feels like a dark, back entrance. Staff is very helpful, super long line during check-in hour, like 8-10 people in queue, even with 3 staff working at the counter. But after check-in, everything is good and smooth."
Mitsui Garden Hotel Yokohama MM Premier
"Lovely hotel, great breakfasts, corner room with great views"
Chisun Hotel Yokohama Isezakicho
