"We had a great welcome from the front desk, very knowledgeable about the building and some of it's history. We loved exploring this hotel, the grandeur of the big hall's and ball room's, were amazing, so elegant and have that "WOW", it was great to explore.
The only thing letting it down was the room we stayed in. The decor is tired and could do with a revamp, one window opened, but the other would not open . However the room was clean and did have everything we needed, including a fan for...

"Nice property, well maintained. Very convenient as it was right next to Lime Street Railroad station. Unfortunately the room was an oven. With temperatures running in the mid-80's, it was HOT. No A/C, and the window only opens an inch. Not enough fresh air getting in the room. We spent a hot night with a loud fan running. Not a pleasant stay. Lodging in this part of the world needs to get into the 21st century and get some level of temperature control."

"The counter, breakfast staff were helpful and pleasant.
What I did not like and should have made a fuss about was the evening meal. The fries were over cooked and hard. The onion rings had been cremated, dark brown and burnt. I left half the meal as it was disgusting. I thought then and hoped the morning breakfast wasn’t going to be the same. Luckily it was excellent, must have a different chef for evening and breakfast meals."

"Really great hotel to be based at for our visit to Liverpool. Lots of bars and restaurants below on the street. We had a room facing on to Castle Street.
Hotel extended us to late checkout of 1pm which was fabulous.
Air con wasn’t located conveniently in the room, but it didn’t get too warm.
We had to get two lifts to our room, which were set apart. Added a bit of fun to get in and out each day (think this may be two original buildings integrated, so the lifts to each floor are separated).
