"Lovely property with a history we learnt about on the Chester bus tour, the hotel is perfect and rooms are big and well thought out. Ours had a living area with sofa. The usual tea and coffee etc provided in the room.
Spacious bathroom, with good shower over the bath. Good mattress, pillows and such soft sheets.
Breakfast was a mix of full english and continental buffet style.
All the staff, in svery capacity were friendly and very helpful.
Highly recommend a stay..next time I shall try the...

"Lots of parking spaces, even as we arrived late in the day. The breakfast was a bit of a scramble due to flight times and opening times of the restaurant as time was a bit short, they did however provide a 'grab and go' selection of pastries, juices etc in reception if you needed to go earlier. "Good facilities and really good size room. There were no spare pillows in the room (I don't want to have to ask), no toilet brush in the rest room which is fine if maid service makes a good job of cleaning the toilet; which they didn't. Beginning of mould in shower could have done with a deep clean in bathroom.No air conditioning in rooms really isn't good enough in this day and age. Also used for corporate clients/company retreats/training and they seemed a bit rowdy, need to actively manage...

"I was pleasantly surprised at the double room we booked. The private bathroom was excellent, king size double bed was very comfortable.
The only issue we had was the room had no black out blind, so the room was very light from first thing in the morning as it was south facing."
