Stopped at Great Sand Dunes National Park Visitors Center and take a few photos of the Highest Dunes in America. The sand dunes are over 750 feet high and the surrounding peaks over 12,000 feet.

Many people know about the Great Sand Dunes National Park being an incredible Colorado location. However, not everyone knows about a unique little location just off the beaten path to the dunes. This is Zapata falls. It takes a rocky road and short hike to get to, but it is well worth the effort. Make sure to be ready to hike through the ice cold river. And if you are feeling extra adventurous, you can get an even cooler perspective by carefully climbing up underneath the waterfall like my friends and I did. #adventure #waterfall #climbing
