"Warm welcome and friendly staff, however quite a modest property even for a BnB and at this price point. Small room with very small shower. Fine breakfast but only instant freeze dried coffee, and few options if you don't want a fry up. Immediate area full of litter on streets (like most of Barry). I know this isn't their fault but it's a location point. Overall a fine place to stay but I'm surprised current reviews are quite so high -- afterall, a warm and friendly welcome should be expected...

"We stayed here for 2 nights as was seeing take that the circus tour ,when we arrived we got a friendly welcome everything was explained to use and was close to train station and places to eat ,the room was clean and comfortable as well, bad points were there wasn't a breakfast option and the the car park is really small we had to park on opposite side of road at 1 point in our stay ."

"At the arrival and going to our room there was only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel I asked at the reception to have 1of each brought to our room but it did not happened also the bathtub is either very badly stained or just not cleaned properly so we felt that we could not have a shower in it The hotel bar was very good and staff very friendly the breakfast was very nice plenty of everything Thank you we still enjoyed our stay"

"Good location right on the water, pool and gym were very nice but we had a bad experience since our air conditioning did not work and we were only offered another smaller room that had water stains on ceiling…Parking should be free."

"Stayed in room 6 beautifully furnished loved colour scheme great view of the pier and the sea from our window. Everything was very clean and the bed comfortable. Great breakfast each morning just a few yards down the road, think it was called Coffi. Parking is a bit of an issue. Would definitely use again. Thank you."

"Very tired and badly in need of renovation yet this doesn’t seem to be reflected in the price. Uncomfortable beds, hard lumpy pillows, tired furniture, lack of plug sockets and light switches (!), broken window, oppressively hot in one room, no breakfast despite paying £300 per night. Staff didn’t even ask how the stay was on check out, presumably because they knew the answer would be poor. Overall, we massively overpaid for a rubbish nights sleep."

"I loved it. It was so close to the train station, which made it easy to find and walk to on my departure day. I also love that it was close to everything, great restaurants, great coffee, shops, the mall, you couldn’t go wrong. I went to a concert and it was within walking distance of the hotel. "Room was overpriced for a concert, £400 per night when £220 normally. I’d expect an uplift but not this much. Room was worn, fan and windows dusty and unclean. Other room had no hot water in shower so unable to use. Noisy and limited sleep although bed comfortable No bar as closed. WiFi non existent and no 5G signal so if you want a quiet night and no shower then ideal place. Breakfast mediocre"
