"Lovely old hotel offering value for money a good breakfast and parking."

"Hot breakfast was over cooked and not as good as the last time I stayed,"

"1 bed appt, perfect for my needs. Only quibble was sofa. Nice balcony over looking courtyard. Spa facility (pool, jacuzzi, steam room etc) was great, very clean and well run. Its a shame the restaurant wasn't running but as I had an appt with a kitchen it wasn't really a problem. Small shop on site open for 2 hrs each evening, and a temporary bar above the spa. Its a bit in the sticks but only 20 mins drive from Bideford. All the staff were friendly and helpful."

"This was our 4th visit and we loved it."

"The sea view room was great! Would recommend. Breakfast is an amazing selection! Staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s approx 15-20 scenic min walk into centre of Torquay."

"one of the best hotel in torquay very modern clean and maintained .and the rooms are clean and comfy and a breakfast included the only downside is no carpark. we will be returning soon 😀"

"Before arriving at the property, I specifically asked whether I could have a quiet room. A member of staff responded that I would be given a room on the third floor. The room itself was quiet, so initially I was pleased. However, the guests staying directly across the corridor had a dog, which started barking very early in the morning. As a result, getting any proper sleep was practically impossible. I had specifically made the request for a quiet room in advance, so it was disappointing that...

"Booked a “best estuary” view room and it did not disappoint, view was amazing and we had a lovely large balcony. We had fantastic weather for October so we made the most of this beautiful location. Hotel staff were super helpful, breakfast was good and we also used the Spa which was a nice bonus. All in all would definitely return, location of this hotel is perfect for winderful views and short walking distance to all that Salcombe has to offer."

"The staff were all very polite, helpful, and friendly."

"a cheap and cheerful place. if you're visiting babbacombe it's a great place for one or two nights sometimes there's some good shows on.and you get what you paid for"

"Pros: The hotel is right in the main area walking distance to the beach. Car park aswell. I had a huge dog friendly room. Neg: I stayed on a Saturday night and it was very expensive, I don’t think the hotel is worth this amount. The hotel receptionist was not very friendly. The shower did not get very hot. It was just a lot of money for a pub hotel."

"Staff were lovely, location is gorgeous, rooms very outdated and in general the flow of constant tour buses full of elderly travelers made me feel like I was staying in a nursing home. Staff very rigid about breakfast timing and use of breakfast room not alllowed after 10:00am so if you are not an early riser, take note. Lift was also broken for full 4 nights of our stay and we were on the 3rd floor."

"A very disappointing stay. We booked a deluxe sea view (with large bay window) double or twin room via Expedia. On arrival at the hotel we did not get the room we booked and paid for. According to Expedia’s description and photographs the room we were given was a STANDARD double room for SINGLE occupancy. As the hotel was fully booked we had to tolerate this very small room with four steps up to the bathroom and really not enough room for two people. The room in no way bore any resemblance to...
