"Awesome historical 100 year old hotel with a small time feeling but plenty big !!! Still very original and had the good feel of simpler times …. Very hospitable staff .. the young lady that checked us in was sweet and very informative …. She loved her job and it showed even though it was getting closer to midnight !! The beds were awesome .. I very rarely sleep most of the night and I woke up to the sun coming in the window (we purposely left the larger curtain open for natures wake up call...

"Room is clean and comfortable No coffee options in the room. Excellent television options. I needed an affordable stay during a weekend when Virginia Tech had a home game nearby. Other hotels double and triple there rates those weekends. This was a perfect no frills hotel with all you need for an overnight visit. Modest breakfast, service counter in the main building only. My last stay here was not noteworthy. They have improved on everything. I will consider them again as they have...
