"What a pleasant surprise to find this iconic motel! vintage vibe with modern rooms, we would definitely book again. Room 225 was super quiet and away from elevator and pool, but Room 218 for my travel partner was next elevator and was noisy through the night and early morning so I would avoid that room."

"The room was clean and great! Except the microwave and coffee maker did not work. Also the TV is not user friendly. Either that or I am not savvy in its use. The Front desk staff, Suzy and Zuri were very kind and friendly. They helped us as much as they could. Although, there was not anything to be done about the coffee maker and microwave. The breakfast we ordered was very delicious and the man we ordered from was also very kind and helpful. We were glad we came to Cambria to stay. We hope that next time they make sure that the coffee maker and microwave are working."

"At first we thought we were going to be treated as VIPs and have a great room. However, when we walked in, the room did not smell so fresh. It seemed they used some scent to cover the bad smell. The carpet did not seem clean either. There was dust all throughout the light fixtures in the bathroom. The whole room actually needed a thorough and complete updating. There were 2 bathrobes there that needed to be replaced because they both were in tatters. They also needed to replace the towels as they were already old, not fluffy and white. They were rather tired looking and need replacement. There was no breakfast. The restaurant was under construction yet no one gave us a heads-up. The only helpful staff member was Larissa when we checked out in the morning. It wasn't an inexpensive place either. We were rather disappointed that we cancelled our second booking."

"Overall, we had a great stay! The property is well-maintained, the staff is very friendly, and our room was easily one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in—plus, the bathroom is absolutely huge. There are just two minor things to note regarding noise: the property sits right next to the 5 freeway, so you can hear highway traffic, and if you aren’t on the top floor, you will likely hear the people above you walking around. We also had a slight hiccup with housekeeping—we requested a room cleaning before heading out for the day, but returned to find it hadn't been touched. However, the front desk handled it well when I called; they offered to send someone up right away, though we ultimately opted to just take the fresh towels they provided. I would absolutely stay here again!"
