Air conditioning in the rooms has been switched off and they provide a fan which was needed but noisy. Rooms are dated but bed was very comfortable. "Where do I start. Location is so perfect. It’s right beside Anfield, and a 20-min bus ride to the city centre. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, they have a pub downstairs, and the LFC murals are just so close by. The most important part was their staff. "The property is nice. There are several Holiday Inn Express hotels in central Liverpool, so make sure you are booking the one closest to where you are going to spend time - we probably didn't! The rooms are very small and not much room for luggage - perfect if you are having a weekend break but not so good if you are travelling for weeks like we were and had more luggage. "Communication with the host was great. They met us at the apartment, gave us a run down on the place and some visiting recommendations. Apartment was located in a great spot within walking distance to great shopping, restaurants and beautiful sights. We did not find the apartment very well cleaned. It had black hair around the base of the toilet seat and in the shower. Floors were also not clean and needed a good vacuum. The upstairs ceiling is very low and an adult is unable to stand...
