"Very nice setting within hotel grounds"

"Safe in room was not working, reported to receptionist who stated that maintenance would fix the following morning. This did not happen, safe still not working 2nd evening. Tv in room had European language channels and lesser known English terrestrial channels, but none of the main channels such as BBC, ITV, Ch4 or Skynews. BBC news was however on the large screen in reception."

"We adored our stay and wish we had more time to spend here. What a wonderful country setting in a traditional B &B. Beautiful chapel views from our room which also overlooked a sweet field with sheep. We were welcomed at the door and bid goodbye personally. The cooked to order breakfast was wonderful and thoughtfully prepared and laid out. We would love to return if we are lucky enough to do so. True gem!!! Suzie and Wes from Oregon."

"Staff were lovely, the room was nice however not maintained to a five star standard as an armchair was heavily stained in the room and general upkeep could have been better. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The grounds are lovely, spa was nice. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Staff all friendly and helpful. "Check-in and check-out were very smooth. The room was spotless and the amenities were excellent, including the well-stocked small fridge with food and snacks. The weather was exceptionally cold during our stay, and unfortunately the small heater wasn’t quite enough to keep the room comfortably warm."

"Already the premises give out a reassuring feeling of care and comfort. This is then corroborated by the quiet and clean rooms, warm and cosy, along with a spacious breakfast area which presents a good variety of food, replicated for the dining area. All this topped with an ample parking space. Last, but certainly not least, the caring and welcoming staff just make it a must to want to go back."

"Good price but reflected in the extremely poor state of the rooms and particularly the bathroom. Cracked walls, lights that didn’t work, and an incredibly creaky floor. I really felt for anyone underneath us. Useful location but wouldn’t stay again."

"Brownover Hall hotel is a beautiful and grand building. The rooms are nicely decorated and feel luxurious, but comfortable. The team at the hotel are friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is great too. You don't need to leave the place to have a lovely time, but there is a retail park nearby if you fancy some shopping. Highly recommended."
