"Took my parents to the UP for the first time and they loved their room! Bed was extremely comfortable, everything was super well cleaned, and the location of the motel is perfect for people wanting to go to Mackinaw Island and come back on the same day. I’ll stay here again in a heart beat."

Heard noises all throughout our stay (footballs on the 3rd floor, people laughing and running outside in the hallways, shadows of them outside at all times etc etc.) There were mayflies everywhere on the balcony window so we couldn't go out there or open them, and the beds really did a number on my back. "The properties location is ideal for walking to the downtown area where a number of restaurants / shopping are located. Walking distance to Sheplers Ferry vs taking the shuttle. "This little motel was THE PERFECT stay while I was in St. Ignace for 4 days. I love the vintage-feel of the motel and the newly-updated rooms! Bed was super comfortable and so was the recliner in the room. Room was super clean and had everything I needed. When I come back to St. Ignace, I will always stay at The Cedars!!!!!!! "The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is great as it is lake front and easy access providing a shuttle to the ferries which is super close. Also close to the Mackinaw Bridge if you want to go to the city. The property is recently renovated but still clean. Is a bit outdated and the hallways have a musty smell due to the carpet but I felt like it was clean. Breakfast was crowded and often running out. I feel like this could be better if they extended the time to more than a 2...

"Lovely and affordable! Great breakfast bar and ample spaces. Good swimming/jacuzzi, tub in the room, lake view and firewood pit lit up at night! I would spend more time to drive the bridge to make my night to here to save money from not staying in Mackinaw City. Stay here in St Ignace instead!"

"I rented an Accessible Room, I am a Bilateral AKA traveler. There was a shower but the hand held shower head I could not reach if I could have used the bathroom! No wall fold down chair or shower removable chair. When questioned staff they stated that they meet ADA requirements! Yet they have violated every clause of ADA, false advertising. I could not use there breakfast amenities due to no room for someone in a wheelchair or for that matter a walker would not get through their facilities! If...

"Front desk employees were very friendly and helpful! Free hot breakfast had many choices. Property grounds were accommodating for relaxing outside by the lake front although we visited during the “midge fly season” and there was no way to avoid them but to stay inside."
