"Hotel was just okay. Facilities were not too bad and rooms were clean. Hotel staff are well below par, they seem more interested in their phone than they do in serving you. Whilst I waited to be served at the bar I was amazed to see that it took three people to pour one pint of lager, one doing the job and two watching, it took a fourth person to come out and suggest someone served me before I could get a drink. "Stay clear! Don’t know when the photos were taken but it’s not like that now! We arrived at house and knocked door to get access to lodge… no answer! Just a faded note we couldn’t read and guttering falling around front door. Anyway thought we would go to lodge to see if we could find anyone only to find mouldy doors, cracked dirty render, rusty cars in parking area and piles of junk outside every door to lodges! Hence we left and booked a holiday inn which was good! I’ve asked for a refund...

"Beautiful clean room , for an old building the creaky , slopping floors were as expected. Very well stocked breakfast but I wasn’t sure where we were supposed to eat it so we went back to our room so perhaps trays should be provided? My only problem was the wedding / house side , I think it confusing. Even though the staff were very friendly, I felt in the way the next day after check out as the bridal party were setting up for their wedding. Perhaps an area could be set up for non wedding...

"Arrived, to check in. No one around. Rang the doorbell no response, rang the phone number, voicemail. Waiting 20 minutes, range the phone number no response, rang the door bell again, no response.. Asked next door if anyone was around, didnt know anything. The left hand side of the hotel has an area you can see through the window, absolute tip. To add insult to injury, today i got a message from them asking how was my stay when they would know i hadnt checked-in. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE."
