"We had a really pleasant stay ahead of an early flight the following morning. Comfy bed, great staff and nice biscuits."

"The location to central Exeter city centre"

"I had a comfortable night - despite facing the main road the double glazing kept the noise out (although as the weather was dreadful there were fewer drunken parties roaming the streets compared with a typical Saturday night). I didn't have breakfast so can't comment. My room was recently decorated though other parts of the hotel (such as the carpet on the main stair) could do with some attention."

"Arrived and allocated room and put all our luggage in room only to be treated by bathroom being flooded from above. This should have been checked prior to check in. We were allocated a new room but no compensation for the hassle caused after a long day of travel."

"The staff so helpful"

"Convenient location in Exeter for access in and out of the city. Friendly staff at check in. Decent buffet breakfast but can get congested at peak times. Parking available but expensive in Exeter. You get a discount voucher which helps a lot. Have stayed here a few times and will continue to do so."

"Staff very rude"

"Fairly average but decent for price. Staff friendly enough but did not explain anything. Suppose they thought it was self explanatory that room key was also key for front door; and to help ourselves to table and food at breakfast. Comfortable bed. Room snug, cosy, quiet and clean. Same for bathroom. Snib removed from Yale lock in bedroom so could not lock ourselves in overnight, which was disconcerting (imagine it is so management can access). Breakfast luke warm but fine. "This was our third visit to the Fisherman's Cot and the first time for an overnight stay. There is a good selection of food at reasonable prices and very good breakfast. Staff were friendly and polite. We stayed in an annex which was OK but the outside fabric of the building is in need of renovation. Room was fine and clean, although bath panel was heavily water damaged. There is scope to improve decor (pictures on the wall for example) to give a more homely feel"
