"This is a hip, charming hotel on a canal bank in Utrecht. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Our room was clean and quiet. The in-room bathroom is very tiny, but it was still well-appointed. We opted for the hotel breakfast, which was an excellent decision. The food was delicious. The lavazza espresso machines did not disappoint. The pastries were fresh. There was even a self-serve Bloody Mary station and cheesecake on the weekend. We’ll definitely stay here...

"Kurzer Trip, um den Sohn im Studium zu besuchen. Daher hatten wir ohne Frühstück 2 Nächte zum wiederholten mal gebucht. Wie immer war es sehr sauber und sehr gut fanden wie die optionale Zimmerreinigung. Macht imo bei 2 Tagen eh keinen Sinn. Für "Fußkranke" ist das Hotel aber nur bedingt etwas"

"A little off the beaten path, but this what makes it so appealing. Bicycle friendly, and quiet hotel for those seek these qualities. Just for those who care, it is a basic hotel room. You won’t find clock radios, bar fridge or irons in your room. I don’t need those things so it was perfect. Super friendly staff and great breakfasts. When I come back to Utrecht, this will be the hotel I choose again. "

"W hi at an incredible surprise when we checked in. So much greater than the pics The History of the place, and all the amenities. The room was spectacular looking over the park and canal. So peaceful. Yet it was so close to everything. This was the crown jewel in our visit to Netherlands. We fell in love with Utrecht. I will recommend Karel-V as top place to stay. The staff were so helpful getting us to the hotel when we got lost. Sent a taxi for us. Thankyou so much for such a memorable time."
